Youth Advisory Council – Youth Centre regulation analysis
On Tuesday, September 27, from 18.00, at the Tailors’ Tower, the meeting of the Cluj-Napoca Youth Advisory Council took place.
The subject of the meeting was the analysis of the proposed regulation regarding the use of the Youth Centre.
The main topics debated were: the opening hours, the types of activities that will take place in the Centre, how entities that do not fall into the category of youth structures can carry out activities, the transparency regarding the reservation of space, etc.
Thus, regarding the opening hours of the Centre it was proposed to open the Centre from 10.00 to 22.00 from Monday to Saturday and from 14.00 to 20.00 on Sundays. Considering that during certain periods, especially in summer, when young people are on vacation, there is the possibility of fewer requests from them, it was proposed that the Youth Centre should be available for reservation against payment to entities that do not fall into the category of youth facilities.
The issue of overbooking is to be analysed on a case-by-case basis and the Cultural and Youth Programs Office which manages the booking calendar will propose solutions for updating the regulation according to the situations identified.
At the end the topic of the Youth Agenda was discussed, which will be the sum of annual priority projects. The Agenda will be managed by the Cultural and Youth Programs Office in collaboration with the associations or informal groups that propose the respective projects.
After the meeting, the regulation was sent out for consultation to the CCT members who did not participate The deadline for analysis and amendments was between 28.09-03.10 and thereafter, the comments were included in the final version of the Regulation for the use of the Youth Centre space available on the website.
